A routine pelvic ultrasound can reveal essential uterine anatomy and assess endometrial thickness. In contrast, a saline infusion ultrasound provides a more detailed examination of the endometrium, including the ability to identify the presence of polyps or fibroids. These tests are frequently conducted to evaluate cases of abnormal bleeding.
